Contaminated Blood Campaign
Lobby of Parliament and Demonstration -
A group of campaigners gathered together in Trafalgar Square and met their MPs at the Houses of Parliament on the 30th June to reinstate the All Party Parliamentary Group. There were people from Scotland, Wales, North West, North East, Midlands and South East and South West and the event was covered by many local news agencies. A Wreath was presented to staff at the Department of Health, although campaigners were disappointed that a representative did not appear in person outside the building to accept this token of remembrance for those we have lost. The event was considered successful in that it brought the issue back into the media spotlight and to the attention of the Coalition Government.
