Fundraising ideas
The committee runs the Las Vegas Evening annually to raise funds for the North West Group and other events throughout the year including supermarket and town centre collections, theatre nights and sponsored events.
The group has also been supported by activities and events organised by our members and we would like to say a big Thank You to all those who have got involved throughout the years to make it possible for the group to provide days out to attractions and theme parks; family weekends, purchase of medical equipment for Haemophilia Centres, research projects, Contaminated Blood campaign and raising awareness of bleeding disorders.
If you would like to get involved in fundraising for the North Wes Group we are happy to provide any support needed whether it is a committee member attending on the day, promoting the event, information and resources.
To get you started here are some ideas:
- 20p coins in a Smartie tube -
give to family and friends and ask them to to fill it with coins for the North West Group. - Carboot/table top sale -
we can provide a banner (check with organisers if they offer reduced rates for charities) - Football card -
with the World Cup coming up why not make a card, the winner gets half the amount collected and the other half goes to the North West Group - If you attend a local leisure centre you could arrange a sponsored aerobathon/swimathon, etc.
- We can provide collections tins, stickers, badges, balloons, leaflets and letters to venue organisers, work, local councils, etc.
Get involved in Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way for people who want to gain new skills and develop new interests. It is also good a good way to gain work experience and employability skills.
